Hello again everyone, this time we will focus on something exciting! we shall be going over how to Choreograph a proper fight scene.

For those who don't know, Choreography is the your composing a scene and the steps involved in that scene. One way to learn how to make proper and intense fight scenes is to watch movies, read books, or even play video games. No matter where you get the inspiration, applying them in the proper way is essential!

1)setting the stage for the combatants:

The First thing you want to do is make sure the setting for the fight is already established prefight, that way your audience will be able to imagine where the fight is taking place. This could involve setting up proper pieces of scenery such as fallen trees, large stones, a brick wall, or even old ruin. This will help immensely in helping your readers to envision the fight as it takes place.

2)Methods of combat and Strategy:

One thing to keep in mind when choreographing a fight scene is to always keep in mind how your characters/creatures fight as well as how they strategize. This can really help to spice up your fights and make them seem far more intense, such as when it seems as though when the hero is about to defeat his foe, then suddenly his foe throws sand in his face blinding him and turning the tide of the battle. When thinking of how creatues fight, a good thing to keep in mind is that some creatures have adaptations that work as defense mechanisms that they will use in a fight. EG: how a porcupine might shoot needles when it becomes agitated.

This all can help you greatly increase the enjoyment of the fight and make it tense and put your readers on edge and continue to read to see who wins the fight.

3)Tutorial:

Sassiera approach Hithera in the arena, both dragons ready for the fight. Both had agreed to fight to settle a dispute for their individual clans. In this case, it was a particular section of land that neither could decide to who it belonged to, so they decided to settle the matter in typical dragon fashion. Sassy and Hithera came forward and stood nose to nose, both determine to fight well for their clans. They bowed to one another, a sign of respect and good luck between dragons before a contest of honor such as this was tradition.

The two dragons began to circle one another, waiting for each to make a move. Hithera growled, ready to fight. They were in a old human gladiator arena that had been abandoned some time ago. Fallen columns lay scattered around them. Sassy looked to her right, several columns lay on the ground, they would make good cover if she needed it. Hithera made the First move. She got up on her hind legs and started to fan hard, kicking up a fierce wind, not like Sassy had ever seen. Sassy pushed through slowly. Once she was close enough, She swept her tail low and tripped Hithera, knocking her on her side. Hithera growled and quickly rolled back onto her feat. Sassy came in for the attack, hoping to sub do her quickly. Hithera grabbed a piece of a column and stopped Sassy's attack.

They pushed on the column between them, but Hithera was stronger and pushed Sassy off. Sassy sailed through the air for a moment, but managed to use her wings to stabilize herself and dive at Hithera. Hithera saw the attack coming and slash, hoping that she would back off her attack and she could take advantage of her dodge. Sassy continued to dive and came down and head butted Hithera right in the center of the chest. Hithera kicked her off. The two dragons stood across from each other once again. They were both breathing heavily from the fight, ready to continue at a moments notice. But after thinking it over for a moment, it seemed Hithera came to the same conclusion that Sassy had. They were just too evenly matched and neither was going to back down to the other. They both bowed, leaving the battle a draw.
I hope you guys(and gals :) ) like it this latest addition to my series of writing guides. This one featured the OC's of :iconsassydragon18: and :iconhithera: in the writing of the example, I hope they like it the most and If I portrayed them properly.
